Terms of Service

1. Accepting these terms

By accessing or using LifeLog (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use LifeLog.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.
• You may not share your account with others or transfer it to another person.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LifeLog to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract our source code.
• Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or abuse the service.
• Submit false, misleading, or harmful content.
• Circumvent any rate limits, usage restrictions, or security measures.

4. Your content

You own the data you enter into LifeLog. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim any ownership over your personal log entries, tracker data, or any other content you create.

5. Subscriptions and payments

• LifeLog offers a free 7-day trial and a paid Premium subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly, 6-monthly, or annual basis depending on the plan you choose.
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment details.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Free trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial of Premium features. The trial begins when you create your account. After the trial ends, your account reverts to the standard free tier unless you subscribe to Premium.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep LifeLog available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance, updates, or make changes to the Service. We will endeavour to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by temporary unavailability of the Service.

8. AI features

LifeLog uses artificial intelligence to parse and categorise your log entries. The AI is designed to be helpful and accurate, but results may not always be perfect. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated classifications and correcting any errors.

AI processing is subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

On account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

LifeLog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any data stored will not be lost.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LifeLog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
